The fight to protect our civil rights is one that cannot be fought without you, Pat

Donald Trump's Department of Justice is moving to dismantle key Obama-era civil rights protections. But Democrats will not let our country go back.

DemocratsJoin us.
Just in time for Black History Month, Donald Trump's Department of Justice is moving to dismantle key Obama-era civil rights protections, reversing years of hard-fought progress on shielding people of color from discrimination.

Let me say this as clearly as I can, Pat: Democrats will not stand for this, and we will not let our country go backward.

We will not let 45 and the GOP revert our country to a nation where access to the ballot box is a privilege for a select few instead of a right for all, where families of color are systemically locked out of majority-white neighborhoods, and where minority students are punished in school simply because of the color of their skin. Democrats are the party of the people -- all of the people -- and our fight for a fairer, more equitable America begins with electing more Democrats who will work tirelessly to defend our civil rights in the face of the injustice we're seeing today.

Will you contribute $3 to the DNC to help elect leaders who are committed to the fight for equality? The Democratic Party's fight to protect our civil rights is one that cannot be fought without you.

The dismantling of critical civil rights protections is unacceptable and wrong at any time of year, but I have to say, it's particularly offensive during Black History Month. The Trump administration's latest efforts are an insult to the legacies of the countless Black activists who we honor for their sacrifices and dedication, and they send an unmistakable message about which side of civil rights history they're on: The wrong side.

We as Democrats have rededicated ourselves to the unfinished work of the civil rights movement. Whether in a classroom or a courtroom, a job interview or a traffic stop, African Americans and other racial minorities continue to face systemic discrimination across our society. Electing more Democrats at every level of office is central to our ongoing fight for civil rights in this country, which is why the DNC is counting on your support today.

Make a $3 donation to the DNC to show exactly where you stand in the face of the Trump administration's attacks on our rights. Your support today will go directly towards helping elect Democrats nationwide in 2019, 2020, and beyond.

Thank you for stepping up,

Brandon

P.S. In the face of Trump's threats to roll back decades of progress fought for by civil rights heroes, there's never been a more important time to show exactly where you stand. Chip in $3 if you're ready to elect Democrats who will fight to defend our civil rights from Trump's discriminatory attacks.
