First, I hope you'll give me one last chance to explain why your contribution tonight is so important: Donald Trump has already amassed nearly $130,000,000 for his re-election, an unprecedented amount for a sitting president at this point in their presidency. The Trump campaign and the RNC have joined forces, and they've spent the last two years working around the clock to secure another term for Trump and his cronies. Democrats are already behind, Pat, so waiting until the general election for our party to start making the serious investments it'll take to win the White House and seats nationwide will all but guarantee that Donald Trump stays in office for another four years. That's why this month, the DNC officially launched our One-Term President Fund -- a fund specifically devoted to defeating Donald Trump and his GOP allies in 2020. By donating to the One-Term President Fund, you'll make a direct investment in the critical party infrastructure our eventual nominee will inherit when he or she enters the general election -- meaning your investment could determine whether or not our nominee will be able to defeat Donald Trump. The DNC needs 50,000 individual donors to contribute to the fund before midnight tonight in order to hit this month's critical fundraising goal, and right now, our party is depending on you to help us reach this incredibly important benchmark. We're still behind where we need to be for February, which is why I'm asking: Pat, will you donate $3 to the One-Term President Fund?
