My Republican opponent and his allies showed us who they were in NC-09. Their win-at-any-cost attitude led them to bankroll a known criminal who led an election fraud operation that silenced countless voters, infringing on one of our most sacred rights. That's not the America that you or I believe in, Pat -- and it's certainly not the America that I fought for overseas as a United States Marine. It's up to us to send them a clear message: We will not let them suppress votes and force their way into power. The State Board of Elections unanimously called for a new election, so the people of North Carolina will finally have a fair shot at having their voices heard. Before tomorrow's critical deadline, make a $10 donation to my campaign and to the DNC to help us win in NC-09 and nationwide this year. It's part of the Republicans' focused attempts to suppress the vote -- through shameful tactics like partisan gerrymandering and heinous voter ID laws -- while turning a blind eye to actual election fraud. This must come to an end in North Carolina and nationwide -- and the only surefire way to stop voter suppression is to elect Democrats who will fight for fair and free elections. That starts with this race in NC-09. Last time around, in spite of Republicans' widespread absentee ballot scheme, I came up only 905 votes short of flipping a U.S. House seat from red to blue. This new race will be decided by a razor-thin margin as well. We can't leave this one up to chance, so I have to ask: Will you make a $10 donation to my campaign and to the DNC before tomorrow's critical deadline?
