As Finance Director here at DNC Headquarters, it's my job to make sure that we as a party are in a rock-solid financial position to support our eventual nominee for president and Democrats down the ballot. It's also my responsibility to let top supporters like you know immediately when that may not be the case. Take a look at where we stand, Pat:

Progress to our goal

Right now, we're still behind where we need to be to fully support the Democratic Unity Fund in time for the general election. The fund, launched in May with the help of President Obama, is designed to give Democrats at all levels -- including our eventual nominee for president -- the resources they'll need to defeat Donald Trump and his allies. But that won't be possible unless it remains properly financed.

According to our records, you have yet to make your first gift to the fund -- and there is no more important time to make a donation than right now, while it's still early enough in the race to meaningfully invest your donation.
