Can I explain, Pat?

Right now, as Democrats all across the country are casting their votes for our party's nominee for president, we're in our final sprint to prepare for the general election.
DemocratsJoin us.

Pat, I'm writing to you today to ask for a $180 investment in our party before Election Day 2020.

I know that's sounds like a huge commitment -- which is why I'm hoping you'll give me a moment to explain how that amount, given gradually in monthly installments starting today, has the potential to tip the scales for Democrats come November:

Right now, as Democrats all across the country are casting their votes for our party's nominee for president, is the DNC's final sprint to prepare for the general election. Everything we've been working on over the last three years -- innovations in tech and data, early investments in organizers, opposition research, and more -- needs to be firing on all cylinders for our nominee the moment they are chosen. Every penny we can pour into these programs now makes a difference.

That's where you come in, Pat: The average online donation to our party is about $20, give or take. By donating that amount each month from now until Election Day, your gradual monthly investment will total $180 by Election Day. That generous, consistent commitment, started when it matters most, will have an even greater impact than that same $180 given right before November 3. That's why I'm asking:

Will you start a $20 monthly gift today, Pat? By making this commitment now, you'll support our party when your investment will have the greatest impact, during this critical push to the general election.

This election is the most important of our lifetimes. That's why we're undertaking some of the most ambitious and innovative programs in our party's history to ensure Democrats win up and down the ballot -- all of which need your support to reach their full potential:

  • Organizing in battleground states has to happen for Democrats up and down the ticket to win. The DNC is recruiting and training field organizers in key battleground states -- many of which our 2020 presidential candidates are not focused on right now -- to mobilize their communities starting this year. Scaling up these efforts and building a powerhouse ground game for 2020 couldn't be more urgent.

  • The Data Warehouse is the centerpiece of the Democratic Party's massive effort to overhaul what was once a crumbling data infrastructure. If we can continue to fully fund it, the warehouse will put our nominee and candidates down the ticket in the best position possible to target voters and win from coast to coast.

  • The War Room is our party's battleground states-focused research and rapid response hub made up of dozens of research, communications, and mobilization experts entirely dedicated to kicking Trump out of the Oval Office. The War Room lifts up local stories of the families most devastated by Trump's failed policies in real time, and will be critical to keeping Trump's poll numbers as low as possible in key battleground states.

Programs like these will help us win on Election Day -- but they suffer when our party falls behind on fundraising. Your $20 monthly investment, starting now, helps us plan ahead and confidently invest in these initiatives while it's still early in the race. So, Pat, what do you say?

Commit to giving $180 before Election Day by starting a $20 monthly gift today. Every penny will be put straight to work to help Democrats win up and down the ballot, and by starting your gift today, you'll join this fight early on, when it matters most.

Thank you,

Clayton
