re: last night’s vote

Republicans voted to block testimony from new witnesses -- and then voted to acquit the president.
DemocratsJoin us.

Last night, Republicans voted to block testimony from new witnesses, making clear they are more interested in covering up for Donald Trump than uncovering the truth. But this vote was much more sinister, Pat. It was against you.

The fact of the matter is: A vast majority of Americans wanted to hear from more witnesses. Instead of serving the American people, Republicans chose to serve themselves and Donald Trump.

Republicans' vote last night will be remembered as one of the most cowardly and corrupt in our nation's history. We cannot go back and change it. We cannot make them suddenly care about the harm they're doing to erode the very foundations of our democracy. But we can vote them out come November.

Electing Democrats from state office to the Senate this year can only happen from the grassroots up. It will require all of us to dig deep and give and do what we can, when we can, until our power is undeniable.

Can I count on you to be a part of this by donating $7 to the Democratic National Committee? Every penny will go towards the infrastructure, tools, and strategy Democrats need to make Republicans pay for their cowardice.

In unity,

Tom
