Stronger than we could have imagined

If the next several months look anything like this January, then I'm confident we'll be victorious on Election Day.
DemocratsJoin us.

If the next several months look anything like this January did, Pat, then I'm confident that Democrats will be victorious on Election Day. Thanks to the folks on this team who donated this month, we blew past our January fundraising goal in the final hours before the FEC deadline. That's huge news, and it means we can keep up the important work Democrats are doing to defeat Trump and Republicans.

Here are a few of the most noteworthy things that happened in January thanks to grassroots supporters pitching in:

  • Over 64,694 people donated to the DNC last month to provide resources to the thousands of Democrats running for office this year. Our average online donation in January was $27.36. That's powerful, and it speaks volumes about the grassroots movement that we as a party have built together to take back our country for working people.
  • The DNC announced The Battleground Build-Up 2020 -- a multimillion dollar investment to open field offices, roughly double the number of on-the-ground organizers, and fund operations and data staff in Arizona, Florida, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. These states are key to creating many possible paths to 270 for our future presidential nominee.
  • Working in tandem with the Arizona Democratic Party and the DSCC, we sued the state of Arizona to fight Republican voter suppression efforts that disproportionately targeted voters of color. The Arizona courts struck down these suppression efforts last week and restored critical ballot access and collection measures in time for the general election.

This has been an electric start to a major election year, Pat, but our party cannot afford to lose an ounce of momentum. The challenges we face will only multiply as November 3 nears. There will be many more FEC deadlines before Election Day, and the GOP won't halt its voter suppression efforts just because of one loss. I know the staff at DNC HQ and the thousands of organizers we've trained across the country are in this fight for the long haul. I hope you are too.

If you're as committed to winning this race as the 64,694 generous folks on this team who contributed to our party last month, donate $7 to the DNC to support Democrats this November. Winning the White House and seats everywhere won't be possible without you on board.

Hitting our goals not only means we can invest in the resources Democrats will use to beat their opponents, but also that we're growing a broad movement from the grassroots that we'll mobilize to the polls come November 3. Last month, tens of thousands of working people -- including teachers, domestic workers, students, truck drivers, nurses, farmers, and scientists just to name a few -- invested in Democratic victory at every level. I'm proud of the fact that we reached our goal, but I'm even prouder of how we did it: Together.

I hope you'll take this moment to support our party this month. Democrats nationwide are counting on you and your strong, consistent support.

January is a good sign of things to come for our party, and with you on our side, I know we can lift Democrats to victory up and down the ticket. Donate $7 to the DNC to fuel the resources Democrats are counting on to win.

In unity,

Tom
