[FiveThirtyEight Update] Donald Trump’s numbers

Taking a hard look at some of Trump's most recent numbers, I know a few things for sure.
DemocratsJoin us.

You understand how important this election is, Pat. That's why I need you to see some of Donald Trump's latest poll numbers and what they mean for our party.

Trump polling: 44% Monmouth Univestity, 43% Quinnipiac University, 45% Reuters/Ipsos

Taking a hard look at some of Trump's most recent numbers, I know a few things for sure: 1) We must keep holding Trump and his administration accountable or his support will grow; 2) We must keep exposing their lies, culture of corruption, and inability to deliver results; 3) We must keep investing in key battleground states where this race is going to come down to the wire; and 4) WE CAN BEAT DONALD TRUMP, but only if we have the resources we need.

Trump's polls are proof that we're doing a pretty good job, Pat, but we have a long road ahead of us. Trump is weak, but if we have any shot at taking back the White House this year, we need to make sure Donald Trump's poll numbers stay as low as possible.

The DNC is working tirelessly to make the early, strategic investments to do just that. We're building a rock-solid party infrastructure for our eventual presidential nominee and Democrats nationwide to inherit the day the general election begins -- but the window for early investment is rapidly closing.

Will you make a $7 donation to the DNC's One-Term President Fund today? Every dollar will help build the essential party infrastructure required to beat Donald Trump and Republicans this year.

These polls show that Americans are fed up with Trump and his damaging, ineffective presidency. That does not mean we have this election in the bag, Pat. Donald Trump and the RNC raised over $400 million last year alone -- and they're already using it to spread their campaign's messaging on a national scale and build an expansive ground game.

We don't have to raise as much as Republicans to win this year. But we do have to continue to keep pace and hit our goals. The best investments we can make to increase our chances of victory in November are made right now, while we can still put programs in place that will have a major impact on Election Day.

Contribute $7 to the One-Term President Fund to help Democrats keep pace so we can defeat Donald Trump and his allies this year.

Thanks for being a part of this team,

Sam

P.S. These numbers show Trump is as unpopular as ever -- but victory is not guaranteed. The way we'll win is by investing in our strategy early on, when it matters most. Will you donate $7 to the One-Term President Fund now?
