I fear we could come up short

February's FEC deadline is especially important because we won't have the luxury of time once our nominee is selected.
DemocratsJoin us.

We're getting down to the wire ahead of our February FEC deadline, and I have to be honest:

I'm getting worried about our fundraising.

We can't afford to fall behind on our goal this month -- not even by a few bucks. We're pouring every single dollar we're able to raise into the tools, programs, and staff our future nominee and Democrats up and down the ballot will need. Falling short of this goal isn't an option ahead of the most important election of our lifetimes.

Please make a $7 contribution before midnight. Even if you can only spare a modest amount today, every single dollar will make a difference in this race.

February's FEC deadline is especially important because it takes time to build the infrastructure we need to win -- whether that's improving and securing the data that our candidates rely on, training organizers to be on the ground and ready when the nominee is selected, or fortifying voter protection resources across the country to protect your vote.

That all needs to happen now, Pat, because we won't have the luxury of time once we have our nominee. Waiting until the general election will be too late.

It's one of my top priorities as our party's chief financial officer to run a streamlined, efficient operation that doesn't waste a cent. Anything you're willing to give ahead of this deadline will go a long way, which is why I'm asking:

Will you donate $7 before tonight's midnight FEC deadline? It'd mean a lot, especially right now.

Thanks for all you do,

Joe

DemocratsJoin us.

Hi, Pat -- just making sure this email from President Barack Obama didn't get lost in your inbox.

As a dedicated supporter, I know you understand that this election is the most consequential of our lifetimes. I hope you'll take a moment to read his message, then join President Obama in supporting the Democratic Unity Fund today.

Donate $7 to the Democratic Unity Fund before tonight's FEC deadline. Any amount you can contribute will make a big difference.

In unity,

Tom

Subject: My announcement regarding party unity

This election will be more important than any other in our lifetimes, and I say that having run for president twice. Every ounce of progress that you and I won together is on the line -- from expanding affordable health care, to building an economy that works for everyone, to ensuring a habitable planet for future generations.

All those reasons and more are why we must come together to elect a Democrat to the White House and win seats in every corner of our country -- but none of that will be possible without a fully supported Democratic Unity Fund.

Now, with just months to go, we don't have a moment to waste. Pat, I am urging you to make an investment in the Democratic Party:

Make a $7 contribution to the Democratic Unity Fund to give our eventual nominee for president and Democrats nationwide the resources they'll need to win. Whoever becomes our party's nominee will rely on your early support and a strong, unified Democratic Party in the general election.

The idea behind the Democratic Unity Fund is simple, yet powerful: We must throw our unified support behind our future nominee and Democrats across the country so that, no matter who wins, they'll have the resources they need to win.

Committing to party unity is not always easy. But it is what this moment in our politics -- and our history -- demands of us. There is too much at stake to let division and hatred win this race. Victory begins with unifying as one team, and I hope you'll join me in doing so by making a contribution today.

Donate $7 to the Democratic Unity Fund. Any amount you give today will be put straight toward building the strong Democratic Party it will take to win the White House and seats across our nation.

Thank you for being a part of this work,

Barack Obama

P.S. Each day we move closer to finding out the result of this primary nomination process, forces will try to divide us and tear us apart. But we cannot let that happen. Our party is at its strongest when we unite around our common purpose and our shared values, so please donate $7 to the Democratic Unity Fund.

I’m asking you to commit early

I've been in politics for decades, and I've been witness to our party's highest highs and lowest lows.
DemocratsJoin us.

Pat --

I'm writing to you today because I cannot, in good conscience, sit by and watch Donald Trump win reelection.

I've lived through the consequences of unchecked power, and I fear what's at stake for our country if we reward Trump with another four years in office. He's sown division and chaos at home and damaged our reputation abroad. He is simply not fit for the presidency.

It's on all of us to correct the course of our nation, and to do that, we need a Democrat in the White House leading the way. While the Democratic primary candidates are vying for our party's nomination, the Democratic National Committee, in partnership with President Obama, is working to give our eventual nominee a fighting chance through the creation of the Democratic Unity Fund. This fund will support our nominee at a critical time by replenishing their resources after a long primary.

Trump and the RNC will take any opportunity to undermine our nominee. We'll only make it easier for them if we fail to unite now and build a strong Democratic Party for our nominee and candidates down the ballot. So, Pat, I'm asking you personally:

Will you support our eventual nominee and Democrats everywhere today with a donation of $7 to the Democratic Unity Fund before tonight's deadline?

I've been in public service for decades, and I've witnessed our party's highest highs and lowest lows. The moment our country is in now ranks among the most troubling I've seen, but I'm confident that a strong, united Democratic Party can take on Donald Trump and the Republicans and win.

It's easy to be distracted by the primary, but it's critically important that we as Democrats don't lose sight of what's ahead: A general election against an incumbent president with a massive war chest. If we have any chance at winning, it will require early commitments from loyal Democrats like you.

So, I'm asking once again: Will you join me in supporting the Democratic Unity Fund before tonight's critical FEC deadline by making a $7 donation to our party?

Thank you,

Madeleine

What Trump just said in South Carolina

Trump just walked off stage at one of his rallies in South Carolina.
DemocratsJoin us.

Trump just walked off stage at a rally in South Carolina -- just hours before voters head to the polls.

This is no coincidence. Trump knows that Democrats are gaining strength across the country. Frankly, he's scared, Pat.

Trump is on the defensive, and it's absolutely urgent we keep up the pressure. Before he leaves South Carolina, I am asking you to take a stand:

Make an urgent $7 contribution to the One-Term President Fund before tomorrow's FEC deadline. Your support sends a strong message to Republicans that our party is stronger than ever ahead of tomorrow's South Carolina primary.

I am confident that we have what it takes to be victorious this November. The DNC has already begun making the crucial organizing, data, and voter protection investments that will be key to winning up and down the ballot this year, but those programs can't stay fully funded without your urgent support. Pat, we need your help -- and we need it right now.

As one of our party's strongest supporters, you will be the key to our success. That's why I'm asking you to send Donald Trump and his party a strong, unmistakable message tonight: Democrats are ready to put up one hell of a fight in states like South Carolina.

Make a $7 contribution to the One-Term President Fund before tomorrow's midnight deadline.

In unity,

Tom

P.S. The DNC is the only party committee tasked with winning seats from the local office to the Oval Office this year. Your donation -- before the general election begins -- will go a long way in supporting the infrastructure needed to take on Trump and Republicans nationwide. Donate $7 to the One-Term President Fund before tomorrow's midnight deadline.
