re: 2020

Our eventual nominee doesn't have the luxury of being an incumbent -- which is why the DNC will play such a critical role in their success.
DemocratsJoin us.

I worked with President Obama when he kicked off his reelection campaign in 2011. So you can imagine my surprise when Donald Trump filed for reelection historically early -- on his inauguration day.

You may have heard me talk about the importance of early money before, Pat -- anything raised until right about now has a bigger impact than it would closer to Election Day. Trump has had a three-year head start to amass it. Our window to catch up is rapidly closing. With 2020 knocking on our door, it's especially critical that you make your first donation of the year to the DNC before midnight.

Think of it this way: Trump has leveraged every moment of his presidency in service of getting reelected. He's spun facts -- even outright lied -- and fundraised off of the outrage. He's spent the past three years trying to shape the narrative of his presidency, whether he's on Twitter, at a rally, or calling in to his friends at Fox News. That's an enormous advantage for our eventual nominee to overcome. She or he has been on the campaign trail, sharing their vision for America's future, with folks like you. That's why the Democratic National Committee is so critical.

DNC Headquarters has been doing the research, accumulating the local stories of folks hurt by Republican policies, and strengthening the technology and data to hand over to our eventual nominee to beat Trump. I hope you'll step up today to help provide our eventual nominee -- not to mention candidates down-ballot -- with the support they need to win before the year comes to a close..

2020 is here. Pitch in a special $7 end-of-year gift to the DNC to help beat Trump and Republicans next year.

President Obama won both of his campaigns thanks to people from all walks of life coming together to support a common vision. We need to replicate that enthusiasm and commitment to win the presidency in 2020.

In order to achieve that, the eventual Democratic nominee needs well-trained organizers going door-to-door to inspire voters, and up-to-date data and technology to reach voters. The DNC is working to build that strong foundation, and is counting on grassroots supporters like you. The stakes are higher than ever, which is why I must ask one more time:

Will you make your first $7 donation of the year before midnight to help our eventual nominee and Democrats nationwide win in 2020?

Let's win this, Pat.
