My district is already a 2020 target for the RNC. The DNC is working hard to make sure that frontline Democrats like me can stay in office, so please make a year-end donation →

We need to reach this goal before the year comes to a close.

The GOP has put a big red target on the frontline district I serve.

Six Republicans have already announced their candidacies for my seat in Congress, and the National Republican Congressional Committee has already named my district as a 2020 target. They can't stand to see someone like me -- a single mom of three, bankruptcy lawyer and consumer advocate, and freshman Democratic member -- holding their greedy corporate cronies accountable and fighting to shift the balance of power in this country back to working families.

They're fighting tooth and nail to pry me out of office. The DNC is working day in and day out to make sure that never happens.

The DNC's end-of-year deadline is vitally important, and here's why: Democratic candidates from the very bottom of the ticket all the way up to the presidential race will rely heavily on the national party's infrastructure to win our elections. In so many cases, the DNC is the only source of key campaign resources for down-ballot Democrats, providing tools from data and tech to voter protection. Every penny invested in the success of our party this year will build its strength next year, which is why I'm urging you to make a contribution before 2019 comes to a close.

Will you contribute $7 to the DNC before Tuesday's end-of-year FEC deadline to build the strong Democratic Party that so many of my frontline Democratic colleagues and I need to win? We need to reach this goal before the year comes to a close.

My race was too close to call on election night in 2018. But over the following few weeks, absentee and mail-in ballots pushed me over the finish line ahead of my Republican opponent in a district that hadn't gone blue since its creation in 1983. I know what it takes to win a tough fight, Pat. I am telling you honestly that early investments can be the only difference between winning and losing a race. There is too much on the line next year to leave any part of this election to chance, which is why I'm asking you directly:

Can you make a $7 donation to the DNC before Tuesday's deadline? The resources our party has on hand before this year ends will determine the success of our eventual presidential nominee and Democrats in critical swing districts like mine next year.

Thank you for standing up for our party and our values with me,

Katie

P.S. What this moment demands of us is to support Democrats with everything we've got. That starts with this grassroots team coming together to reach our party's critical year-end fundraising goal before Tuesday's deadline. Chip in $7, or whatever you can, to help elect our future nominee and frontline Democrats in swing districts just like mine today.
