There are just hours left before tonight's debate, which is why I'm asking you to make a $7 contribution to the Democratic Unity Fund before Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden take the stage.
No matter what happens tonight, our future nominee will rely on the support of the Democratic Unity Fund the moment the general election begins. After a competitive primary, whoever earns the nomination will lean heavily on the DNC for a robust battleground organizing program and a top-notch data operation.
As the Director of Online Fundraising at DNC HQ, I can tell you this, Pat: We're still not where we need to be to fully support the Democratic Unity Fund. We still have a ton more work to do -- and a lot more money to raise -- in order for key aspects of our party infrastructure to be operating at full capacity in time for the general election.
You're a committed member of our party, so it's clear to me how deeply you care about the outcome of this race. That's why I ask that you do something very important before tonight's debate:
Make your very first $7 contribution to the Democratic Unity Fund before the candidates take the stage. Every ounce of that early support will be put to work funding the organizing, tech, and data that Democrats need to win the general election.
We can get where we need to be if a lot of people chip in even a modest amount. Thank you for being a big part of this.

P.S. According to my team's records, you haven't yet made a donation directly to the Democratic Unity Fund. Will you donate your first $7 to the fund before tonight's debate? No matter who wins, they're gonna need your support to win this race.
