First: President Obama and the DNC announced the Democratic Unity Fund last May:
Then: Many of the Democratic candidates for president announced their support for the fund too -- along with more than 100,000 members of this grassroots team who've donated directly to the fund. That's because they realize just how critical the Democratic Unity Fund is to our success in November.
Now: We're just two days away from our end-of-quarter deadline, and a few months from the general election. We can't let our future nominee be tapped out after an expensive primary when the general election begins, which is why we're doing everything in our power to grow the fund now, while there's still time. That is why the Democratic Unity Fund is more important than ever before.
Pat: Will you make your first donation to the Democratic Unity Fund today, before Tuesday's deadline?
The most important thing each of us can do before we know our nominee is make a firm, unequivocal commitment to party unity. The very best way to do this is by setting aside resources for our nominee and Democrats nationwide to ensure they have exactly what they need to hit the ground running as soon as they enter the general election.
We've got an incredibly important and ambitious goal this month, and we still need more Democrats from Carrollton to step up if we're going to reach it.
I am personally counting on our most devoted Democrats like you to show your support ahead of Tuesday's midnight deadline.
Will you donate to the Democratic Unity Fund before Tuesday's deadline? If more donors from Carrollton can contribute, we'll be within striking distance of our goal.
Our candidates are counting on us to do this work. I hope you'll join the fight.
Thanks as always,
Seema
