A lot of my job revolves around updating and re-working spreadsheets, Pat -- and right now, our fundraising numbers have me nervous. Please, give me a second to explain why:
We kicked off our FEC End-of-Quarter Campaign this morning, and to be completely honest, we're not off to a great start. I was counting on 39 more Democrats from Carrollton to have chipped in today when I put together our projections, but at the moment, we're short of where we need to be.
This isn't my first FEC deadline. I know that when we start off these campaigns on the wrong foot, it can be almost impossible to get back on track. I'm reaching out personally to see if you're able to help us correct the course now, before it gets too late.
Can you help us get back on track by making a $7 donation, Pat? I know times are tough for some folks this month, but if you're able to contribute, every dollar right now helps a lot.
As the DNC's director of online fundraising, I get a bit of a rush whenever I update our party's fundraising numbers -- and that's because the stakes couldn't be higher. Each day's progress is the writing on the wall for just how strong our investments in organizing, tech, and other infrastructure projects will be for our party's eventual nominee and Democrats down-ballot.
That's why it's so important we end this quarter on a high note, Pat, and we can do that by starting this first day off strong. I've seen some amazing things from this grassroots team before, and I'm counting on you again today to help the Democratic Party pull through.
Donate $7 before the day is out to keep us on track to help Democrats win from the White House to the state house in November.
Thanks for being a part of this team,
Clarke
