Pat, a Mitch McConnell-supporting super PAC just booked $67 million in ads to keep hold of his Republican Senate majority. I hope you'll give me a second to explain exactly what that means and then rush a donation to the DNC to help us fight back.
This ads investment is unprecedented, Pat. In fact, it's more than double the initial investment the Super PAC made ahead of the 2018 midterms. It's an enormous sum of money, but that doesn't mean that we can just throw in the towel now.
To take back the Senate in just 222 days, Democratic candidates across the country will be relying on your support. They'll need well-trained organizers, up-to-date data and technology, and so much more to energize and mobilize voters. Winning the Senate, the White House, and seats nationwide depends on us putting in the work early on, so I have to ask:
Will you make your first $7 investment in the work the DNC is doing to win seats from the school board to the Senate today?
Let's get one thing straight: this McConnell-supporting PAC is poised to run ads in Arizona, Colorado, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, and North Carolina after Labor Day -- but that's only because they know these seats are extremely vulnerable. Four out of six of those races are currently rated as toss ups by Cook Political Report. All six are in play for Democrats.
Whether a Democratic Senate majority is within striking distance depends on all of us coming together to support our party in important moments like this one. Right this minute, the DNC is hiring organizers in key battleground states, building world-class data systems to mobilize voters, and shaping the narrative about how Donald Trump and Republicans are hurting American families. Those efforts are critical in combating Republican investments like this one -- and they won't reach their full potential without your support.
Send a clear message to Republicans: We aren't backing down in our fight to maintain our House majority, take back the Senate, and win the White House. Donate $7 to the DNC today.
In unity,
Tom
