Pat, there's something very important happening in Alabama right now -- Senator Doug Jones is up for reelection this fall and needs our help. I hope you'll give me a second to explain more about what's happening in Alabama and why we urgently need you to make a donation to Senator Doug Jones' campaign and the DNC today:
Donald Trump won Alabama by double digits in 2016 -- so we already knew that Doug's reelection would be a tough one. Now, Republican candidates have spent millions of dollars to try to face off against Doug. With the Republican primary looming, we know that they'll soon turn their focus to him. We have to be ready when that happens.
There couldn't be a more important time to make your first donation to Doug's campaign and the DNC.
Make a $10 contribution to Senator Doug Jones' campaign and the Democratic Party today to help lift Democrats to victory everywhere from Alabama to Alaska this year:
There's one thing I know for certain: Either Republican candidate would be toxic -- and quite frankly, dangerous -- for Alabamians. On one hand, you've got Tommy Tuberville, a former football coach who Donald Trump tweeted would "never let MAGA/KAG, or our Country, down!" On the other, you have Jeff Sessions, a self-proclaimed "architect of the Trump agenda." Alabamians deserve better.
No matter who the Republican nominee is, you can bet your hat they'll fight tooth and nail to take Doug's seat in the Senate. We can't let that happen. Now is the time to come together and show Senator Jones that we have his back. That's why I'm asking:
Will you split a $10 donation between Senator Doug Jones' campaign and the DNC? Whatever you're able to chip in will send a message to Republicans in Alabama and nationwide that we aren't backing down from defending a single Senate seat this year.
In unity,
Tom

P.S. It's essential that we keep Doug Jones in the Senate. Republicans are already bearing down to make it a tough one for him, so I have to ask: Will you donate $10 to his campaign and the DNC to protect his seat and elect Democrats in all 50 states this year?
