Pat -- I wanted to be sure you saw this big news:
The DNC launched Battleground Build-Up 2020 in Arizona, Florida, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin as part of our effort to build a rock-solid campaign infrastructure that will power our eventual nominee and Democrats down the ballot to victory this November. Now, we're expanding this unprecedented investment to six more states: Georgia, New Hampshire, Nevada, Ohio, Texas, and Virginia.
With your support, Battleground Build-Up 2020 will:
- Fund operations and data staff -- some of the most important, behind-the-scenes roles that allow a campaign to scale their organization quickly.
- Amass organizers on the ground. Organizers on the ground who will engage early in voter registration, build out massive volunteer operations, reach communities of color, and ensure that we have the field operation our nominee will need to win.
- Expand the pathways for our eventual nominee to secure 270 electoral votes, while capitalizing on emerging defensive liabilities for the Trump campaign.
- Support Democrats at every level of the ballot. Georgia, New Hampshire, Texas, and Virginia have competitive Senate races; state legislative races in Texas will help determine redistricting; and state Supreme Court seats are at stake in Ohio.
- Build data infrastructure to help ensure organizers are reaching out to a universe of potential voters in the most efficient way possible and with the most effective messaging.
Broad investments like these are absolutely essential for us to win in November. But we need to make these investments now, while there's still time to scale up our operations in these important battlegrounds and to hire and train organizers who will do the critical on-the-ground work that our candidates are counting on.
Battleground Build-Up 2020 is a critical but expensive program, and our candidates nationwide, at every level, are counting on Democrats like you to step up and make your initial investment in our success.
So, Pat, will you make a $7 contribution to the DNC today to help fund vital programs like Battleground Build-Up 2020?
