Women deserve a seat at every table

Making sure women have a voice in every community and a seat at every table begins with the standards we set for our own party.

DemocratsJoin us.
Making sure women have a voice in every community and a seat at every table begins with the standards we set for our own party. That's part of the reason why I'm proud to be the first Asian American woman to lead the DNC.

Last election cycle, our party came together to elect 91 Democratic women to the House and over 1,200 Democratic women to state and local offices nationwide. Among them, we helped elect the first Native American women, Muslim women, and youngest woman ever to Congress. We also helped women flip two Senate seats from red to blue and, in Nevada, helped elect our country's first-ever majority-women legislature.

The Democratic Party is taking our commitment to lifting up women seriously, and in honor of International Women's Day today, I hope you'll take that commitment seriously too by making a contribution to help engage and elect Democratic women in 2019, 2020, and every year after that.

Make a $3 contribution to the DNC today, in honor of International Women's Day, to keep electing Democratic women up and down the ballot, in all 50 states.

Democratic women refuse to stay silent about the issues that matter most to us. We know that women deserve equal pay for equal work, that quality, affordable child care is an economic issue, that being a woman isn't a "pre-existing condition," and that electing more Democratic women is what it'll take to make those values a reality in this country.

The Democratic Party is committed to continuing to elect women from all walks of life to public office -- veterans, business owners, medical professionals, teachers, mothers, and so much more -- because it's the right path forward for our party, our country, and our future. We are leading with our values and empowering people from diverse backgrounds to speak up and make our voices heard -- and I hope you'll make your voice heard today too.

In honor of International Women's Day, will you make a $3 donation to the DNC to keep electing strong women in the months and years ahead? Your support in this fight is so important.

Yours in the fight,

Seema

P.S. The majority of donations to the DNC from emails like this one come from women, which is just one of the many ways that women are shaping the future of our party. In honor of International Women's Day, donate $3 to keep electing strong Democratic women up and down the ballot in 2019 and 2020.
