Take a few minutes to read about the results of our Path to 270 survey

I wanted to take a second to share the results of our recent Path to 270 Survey and how they're shaping the DNC's strategy directly with you.

DemocratsJoin us.
Because you are an important member of this team, I wanted to take a second to share the results of our recent Path to 270 Survey and how we're using those results to shape the DNC's strategy directly with you.

ORGANIZING CORPS 2020

Most supporters said that Organizing Corps 2020 would have the most impact by focusing on Midwestern states like Michigan and Wisconsin. The good news is: We don't have to choose. Organizing Corps 2020 is already recruiting young people in key battleground states including Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and North Carolina.

This is the first time we've invested this early in organizing for a general election, but we know that's what it will take to match Donald Trump and the RNC's massive organizing infrastructure in the years ahead. With a whole lot of young, talented applicants already flooding in to be a part of this program, I am liking our odds.

2020 DATA INVESTMENTS

We got the resounding message that our survey takers were most concerned about creating a best-in-class cybersecurity operation. You might be sensing a trend here, but we're actually making improvements across the board! As soon as Tom came on as chair of the DNC, we started bringing in top tech talent, assembling state-of-the-art tools for state parties and campaigns, rebuilding our data infrastructure to give equal access to voter data, and investing heavily in cybersecurity.

MOBILIZING CORE CONSTITUENCY GROUPS

On the last survey question, most respondents said they thought all of our programs engaging core constituencies were key to winning in 2020 -- and we agree! That's why we're continuing key programs like A Seat at the Table, an initiative to meaningfully engage and organize with Black women; Mujeres Mobilized, a program to engage, empower, and organize alongside Latinas; and New Blue Crew, which aims to mobilize young voters and student leaders.

We're just as committed to these programs as you are because we know that the Democratic Party must make it a priority to engage and empower our key constituency groups as key decision makers within our party.

Thanks for taking the time to read up on the results of our Path to 270 Survey and the key programs we've put into place to help us get there. We couldn't do this work with you, Pat.

All my best,

Seema
