Right now we don't have the field talent to win the 2020 general election

Here at the DNC, we know that building a talented, diverse organizing team early in key battleground states is the recipe for success next year.

DemocratsJoin us.
Here's the devastating truth: Right now, we don't have the bench of field talent we need to win the general election -- but with your help, we have a small-but-critical window to build it.

Organizing Corps 2020 is an unprecedented, multi-million dollar investment that will recruit, pay, and train young people to work on the 2020 presidential cycle. Right now, it's one of our top priorities for defeating Donald Trump and Republicans, and will be imperative to taking back the White House and electing Democrats up and down the ballot.

There's no better way to support this effort than by making a $3 donation before tomorrow's first end-of-quarter deadline of 2019. Every contribution made will fund essential programs like Organizing Corps 2020 and help elect Democrats from the halls of Congress to the Oval Office.

Here at the DNC, we know that building a talented, diverse organizing team early in key battleground states is the recipe for success next year. I think you remember all too well what it felt like to lose Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Michigan in 2016. To avoid making the same mistakes again, the DNC is focusing on long-term organizing discrepancies and finding strategic, innovative ways to address them.

Training: With a lengthy primary ahead of us, our eventual nominee needs all the help they can get to build a quality field team at the scale that is needed to win the general election. In order to build a bench of top-tier organizers, the DNC is working to proactively recruit and develop a large team of homegrown talent in key battleground states early, ahead of the 2020 election.

Diversity: We know the importance of having a field team that looks like the communities it organizes. Relational organizing is the most powerful when it's peer-to-peer, which is why the DNC, through Organizing Corps 2020, is focusing on mentoring students from communities of color to recruit a field force that truly reflects our voters.

Skill: The naturally rapid pace of the primaries leaves little time for training or skill-building in preparation for the general election. It's imperative to empower an organizing force that is highly skilled in data, digital, and field organizing. That's why we're training organizers early on how to register voters, recruit volunteers, set up campaign offices, and use state-of-the-art data and digital tools to take our message to voters.

I fully believe in Democrats' capability to win back the White House -- but for that to happen we need a smart, passionate team that reflects a nation that is courageous, diverse, and works for everyone.

Can you make a $3 donation before tomorrow's critical end-of-quarter deadline to build the national organizing infrastructure and talent to lift our eventual nominee to victory in their fight against Donald Trump and the GOP?

Thank you for being an integral member of our party.
