re: Wisconsin

Democrats are fighting to make sure every vote counts, but we need your support.
DemocratsJoin us.

Three weeks ago, the DNC challenged a series of state laws that were making it unduly hard for Wisconsinites to exercise their right to vote in light of the coronavirus crisis. We won that challenge -- and the district court extended the deadlines for online voter registration and for mailed ballots to be counted.

As a result of our lawsuit, thousands more voters in Wisconsin will have their ballots counted and were able to safely vote in this election. But last night, at the urging of Republicans, the courts overturned part of the relief granted by the district court and struck down Governor Tony Evers' order to postpone the Wisconsin primary.

Now, thousands of ballots could not be counted and voters are being forced to choose between their safety and participating in the election.

It's clear that continuing this fight is more urgent than ever. Voters' safety and the integrity of our democracy are on the line -- and we need you to be a part of this fight now more than ever before, Pat.

Rush an emergency $7 donation now to power our work at this critical moment. This isn't over, and the only way we'll win is with members of this grassroots team committing to help Democrats fight back right now.

We are in the midst of a global public health emergency, but you wouldn't know it by the way Republicans are acting. Instead of prioritizing the health and safety of the American people, they're choosing to outright reject commonsense steps to make our elections more accessible. It's downright unconscionable.

The stakes in this election couldn't be higher. We must keep fighting to ensure voters can remain safe while exercising their right to vote. And we must push forward in our efforts to ensure Democrats win at the ballot box in November.

Contribute $7 right now to support Democratic efforts to protect safe access to voting and elect Democrats in every corner of our country. I wouldn't ask if it weren't so important, Pat.

In unity,

Tom

P.S. Democrats will continue to fight for the right to vote safely in elections through vote-by-mail and other sensible reforms. Republicans know that when more Americans vote, they lose -- which is why we cannot back down a single bit. Donate $7 now to keep up this fight.
