Pat, I'm asking you to be one of 30 more people from Carrollton to make a contribution to the Democratic Party before tomorrow at midnight -- the very first FEC fundraising deadline of the general election and a major milestone in this race. First, let me explain why a donation made early, before tomorrow's deadline, makes an even bigger impact than one made in the final days before November 3:
Now that Joe Biden has become our presumptive nominee, the DNC is rapidly finalizing our general election plan to support Democrats running at all levels of office. We've spent the past three years investing in battleground organizing, campaign tech and data, and a nationwide voter protection operation.
However, in the face of this crisis, we urgently need to bring key parts of our 2020 programs online in order to continue to reach voters -- because truth be told, the urgency of kicking Donald Trump and the GOP out of office has reached a fever pitch. We can't delay our fight to elect Joe Biden and win seats across the country, but that requires we hit critical fundraising benchmarks like the one we've set for tomorrow.
Now that we're sharpening our focus on digital outreach efforts due to current social distancing guidelines, it's more important than ever that folks like you come off the sidelines by making your first contribution of this election cycle. We'll be on track to reach our fundraising goal if 30 more people from Carrollton pitch in -- but if that doesn't happen, I fear we could fall short when Joe Biden and Democrats nationwide need us most.
CITY | Supporters Needed |
Phoenix | 117 |
Carrollton | 30 |
San Diego | 157 |
If you can, please donate $7 to our party before tomorrow's deadline. It's the first FEC deadline of the general election, so what we're able to raise will set the tone for the remainder of this race and will translate directly to a stronger operation for Joe Biden and Democrats in all 50 states.
Trump has proven that his incompetence has dangerous, deadly consequences, so we can't afford to fall short of this month's fundraising goal -- not even by a few bucks. Take a look at some of the smart, strategic digital investments we're making so Democrats can continue to mobilize voters despite the hurdles posed by COVID-19:
- Unprecedented online advertising: The DNC recently announced that we're reserving $22 million in strategic digital advertising in battleground states. This is a historic reservation, and it will be worth every dollar.
- Ramping up our digital organizing efforts: Our digital organizing team has been hard at work running digital organizing webinars that teach volunteers about the online resources folks can use to stay involved from home. In the last few weeks, they trained nearly 7,000 volunteers.
- Texting out the vote: We know that people organize their own communities best, which is why we've been recruiting volunteers to help with our texting campaigns. In the midst of COVID-19, we're using virtual communication to share information and build relationships with voters all over the country.
Believe me when I say that staying laser-focused on our digital strategy will be key to a Democratic victory in November -- and your investment before tomorrow's FEC deadline will help us do just that. You just read what the DNC is doing right now to set our party up for success. So, if your financial situation allows, please make an investment in vital programs like these today, while your gift still can make the biggest impact.
Make a $7 investment in the Democratic Party before tomorrow's FEC deadline. If 30 more Democrats from Carrollton contribute, we'll be on track to hit our goal, send Joe Biden to the White House, and send Trump and down-ballot Republicans packing.
I know these are unprecedented times, Pat, so any amount you can spare is truly appreciated. We will get through this together -- and we will win.
In unity,
Tom

Democratic National Committee
P.S. Our records indicate that you have yet to make a contribution to the DNC this election cycle. A contribution now, before our first FEC deadline of the general election, will go a lot further than that same amount given right before Election Day. Will you make a $7 donation before tomorrow at midnight? Any amount helps.
