Pat --
Did you see the article in the New York Times about our digital ads purchase? We've been able to reserve $22 million in strategic advertising in battleground states because of committed Democrats like you.
This is a huge investment and a really big deal -- but this alone is not enough.
Our eventual nominee and Democrats down the ballot are counting on us to build the strong party infrastructure they'll need to win, while there's still time for it to make a difference. This means we're strongly focused on enhancing campaign resources like digital ads, organizers, and other data and initiatives months in advance. Our recent investment is a great start and will help put Democrats in a strong position in these states, but we need to do more.
Pat: Will you chip in $7 today to support Democrats up and down the ballot while there's still time to make strategic investments like these critical digital ad reservations? Successfully mobilizing our voters to the polls in November depends heavily on what we do on days like today.
While this recent investment in the digital ad space is a great move for our party, the unfortunate reality is that the Trump campaign has been able to do far more -- in March, they spent $24 million on Facebook ads alone.
We don't need to match them dollar for dollar, and we certainly don't need to adopt their strategy of blanketing the internet with ads that misinform voters and distort the truth. But we do need to dramatically scale up our smart investments that align with our plan for November.
We can't do this without you, Pat. The DNC and Democratic candidates nationwide are counting on supporters like you to invest in our party and help us fight back.
I wouldn't ask if it weren't important. Will you donate $7 today to the Democratic National Committee so we can beat Trump and his allies in November?
In unity,
Tom
