re: Trump’s campaign

I need to talk to you about how Trump's campaign is changing course in the face of the coronavirus pandemic.
DemocratsJoin us.

I need to be honest with you, Pat: Donald Trump's campaign is changing course at a startling rate in response to the coronavirus pandemic, and Democrats urgently need to keep pace.

Trump is turning his daily briefings into political theater devoted to himself and his ego, airing campaign-style videos instead giving honest answers to pressing questions about the virus. On top of that, his campaign has also made over 17 million phone calls to their supporters in the past month alone. Trump has used his past three years in office to build a massive campaign war chest and assemble an army of volunteers to mobilize against presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden and Democrats across the country -- and we must urgently pick up the pace to fight back.

I won't sugarcoat it: The Trump campaign's three-year head start in fundraising and organizing has allowed them to pull ahead in a critical moment of this race. The DNC is training volunteers to make phone calls, text out the vote, and train new organizers online, but we need to scale up our efforts if we're going to compete with Trump's machine.

Pat: Will you donate $7 to the DNC today so we can expand our organizing efforts and keep Trump and Republicans from pulling ahead? The general election is here, so none of us can afford to sit on the sidelines during this pivotal time

A failure to level the playing field against Trump's reelection war chest could have devastating implications for Joe Biden and Democrats down the ballot. We must scale up our online outreach, digital advertising, and virtual training efforts now if we want our candidates to have a fighting chance this November.

When you support the DNC, you're supporting our urgent work to bring our 2020 organizing operation online. You're also supporting upgrades to our tech and data infrastructure and investments in digital outreach, which are more important than ever during this time of virtual campaigning. Plus, you're supporting Democratic candidates nationwide who are counting on our backing to power them through Election Day.

Will you chip in $7 to the DNC today to help bring crucial parts of our 2020 strategy online? It's on all of us to rise to this challenge, and we need you on board.

Thanks for being on this team,

Patrick
