The clock is ticking (five hours left)

We're within reach of our goal, but we can't afford to fall behind. Especially not right now.
DemocratsJoin us.

Pat, I know you've been hearing from our party a lot lately, but I needed to reach out to you one final time today to let you know: With just five hours until our deadline, I fear we could come up a bit short of our April goal.

While every FEC deadline is important, the one we are facing in just a few hours is different -- it's the first since Joe Biden has become our party's presumptive nominee. That means we urgently need to scale up crucial 2020 programs in time for VP Biden and Democrats nationwide to lean on them for the general election. Falling short of fundraising goals, like the one we've set for midnight, could be detrimental to those plans, so I have to ask you:

If your financial situation allows, can you rush a $7 contribution to the DNC before tonight's midnight FEC deadline to make sure we don't fall short of this important goal? I know times are tough for many right now due to this crisis, but if just 15 more supporters from Carrollton chip in we can close the gap on our fundraising goal ahead of tonight's critical end-of-month deadline.

As the chief financial officer of the DNC, I can tell you this: What this grassroots team is able to raise together before midnight tonight will have a tangible impact on the outcomes of competitive races across the country come November 3.

The bulk of our most important work has to happen while it's still early in the race, meaning a contribution now before tonight's FEC deadline will play an even larger role than that same gift made right before Election Day. We're within reach of our goal, but we can't afford to fall behind. Especially not right now. Can you help out before midnight, Pat?

If you can, please be one of the 15 more donors we need from Carrollton to make an investment in our party before tonight's deadline. Even if you can only spare a modest gift today, any amount makes a difference.

I understand times are tough for many of us right now, so even if you can't afford to make a donation, please know that your support is deeply appreciated.

Joe

President Obama sent you a message, Pat

It's crucial we put our best foot forward ahead of this big deadline.
DemocratsJoin us.

Hi Pat,

Did you get a chance to read President Obama's email to you about the Democratic Unity Fund? We're facing our first FEC deadline of the general election tonight, and it's crucial we put our best foot forward as we take on Donald Trump and the GOP's fundraising machine.

The DNC deadline is coming up tonight at midnight:

If just 19 more donors from Carrollton contribute before midnight, we can meet our end-of-month goal. Can President Obama and I count on you to donate your first $7 to the Democratic Unity Fund before tonight's deadline?

In unity,

Tom

Subject: I'm asking, Pat

Pat,

We're 195 days out from the most important election of our lifetimes, so I'm asking you to join me in committing to party unity.

Our country's future hangs on this election. Our chance at putting a Democrat in the White House, flipping the Senate, and expanding our House majority all depends on having the necessary resources to win.

That's why I launched the Democratic Unity Fund in partnership with the DNC. Our candidates will need the full backing of a strong Democratic Party this year -- and that simply can't happen overnight. The DNC is already hiring and training organizers and upgrading their tech and data infrastructure, but that work must be expanded to build the kind of operation our candidates need to win.

Pat, will you join me by making your first $7 donation directly to the fund today? Joe Biden, who I've proudly endorsed for president of the United States, and Democrats nationwide are counting on early investment from strong supporters like you.

This crisis has reminded us that good government matters. That facts and science matter. That the rule of law matters. That we must elect leaders who are informed and honest, and seek to bring people together instead of drive them apart. That, in other words, elections matter.

I started my career as an organizer, so I know just how powerful a force we can be if we work together. We are facing some of the greatest challenges of our generation right now, but we have each other, Pat. I have no doubt in my mind of what we can accomplish together. That's the driving idea behind the Democratic Unity Fund, and why I'm asking you for your support today:

Make your first $7 donation to the Democratic Unity Fund to help elect presumptive nominee Joe Biden and Democrats nationwide. Our candidates at every level are doing everything they can to win in November -- but no candidate can get there alone. They're counting not just on our votes, but on our early and consistent support.

Thank you for your support,

Barack Obama

P.S. Throughout all his trials, Joe Biden has never once forgotten the values or the moral fiber that his parents passed on to him and that made him who he is. He has all the qualities we need in a president right now -- but he can't win without your help, Pat. Join me in supporting Joe Biden and Democrats nationwide by making a $7 donation to the Democratic Unity Fund.

A humble request, Pat

Now more than ever, it's clear why we need to have a steady, capable, and honest president.
DemocratsJoin us.

In turbulent times like the ones we're in right now, it can be tempting to disengage from politics; to take a step back and assume everything will somehow work itself out. We can't fall into that trap, Pat.

The COVID-19 pandemic has shown us the devastating impacts of this administration's failed leadership, and it's clear just how urgent it is that we elect a steady, capable, and honest president. Thankfully, our presumptive nominee Joe Biden and Democrats up and down the ballot are more than capable of leading our country through hard times -- but we need to give them a fighting chance to prove it.

That's why President Obama and the DNC created the Democratic Unity Fund: To support all of our candidates as they gear up for an election with stakes higher than any in our lifetimes. But with the first FEC deadline coming tonight, we need to all come together to ensure the fund is strong enough to deliver on its promise. That's why I'm asking:

Will you contribute $7 to the Democratic Unity Fund before tonight's end-of-month deadline? Democrats nationwide are counting on your early investment so they can take on the GOP at every level.

This was a long primary season -- trust me, I know! But the key stage is beginning right now, as we enter the general election. As you read this, Democratic campaigns across the country are shifting their organizing strategies online in response to the public health crisis, and the Democratic Unity Fund plays a key role in ensuring they have the funds required to make adjustments to their campaigns.

I ran for president because I know we desperately need competent, compassionate leadership in the White House. Now I'm proud to support Joe Biden because I know he'll provide just that. But no candidate can win an election on their own -- and Vice President Biden and Democrats nationwide are relying on the Democratic Unity Fund to help provide the resources they need to win.

So, Pat, will you make a $7 donation to the Democratic Unity Fund before tonight's FEC deadline? It's never been more important to demonstrate your commitment to our shared goals.

Stay safe,

Pete
