Pat,
In just a minute, I'm going to ask you to make a $7 contribution to the DNC. Before I do that, I hope you'll give me a moment to tell you exactly why these final few months could make or break Democrats' chances of winning this race and why your investment at this crucial turning point could make all the difference.
It's been said countless times, and it bears repeating: There's so much at stake in November. But I would be remiss if I did not mention all that's at stake right now. Joe Biden and Democrats down the ballot have taken the lead in many polls. That's great news, and it's thanks to the generosity of supporters like you helping us get our message out to the American people. But it also means that we're hiring organizers, buying digital and television ad space, and allocating resources to states and districts that were not thought to be in play for Democrats this cycle.
We're competitive in places that don't have decades-old Democratic infrastructure, so we have a lot of work to do in a very short period of time if we're going to convert this momentum into actual votes in November.
It's going to take all of us to get there, Pat, so I'm asking: Will you chip in $7 to the DNC today? Winning the White House, flipping the Senate, and protecting our House majority is a huge undertaking, and Democratic candidates nationwide are counting on your support in these most important moments.
When this race started, the media narrative was that Joe Biden and Democrats couldn't compete with Trump and the RNC's massive cash-on-hand advantage. But we put our heads down, did the work, and we are so close to proving the naysayers wrong. Now, we're within striking distance right as the most intense period of this campaign is about to kick off after the Republican convention.
That's when Trump and the RNC will summon their major donors and train their efforts on Joe Biden and our down-ballot Democrats. If our candidates don't have the resources they need to fight back, all of the work we've done over these past three years may go to waste.
We're truly in unknown territory, Pat. We're up against a historically dangerous incumbent who still enjoys support from the majority of his party, and we cannot afford to sit idly by as he builds on the momentum he'll surely find after their convention.
If you're able, will you make a $7 investment in Joe Biden and our down-ballot candidates today? Beating an incumbent with a cash advantage is hard, but Trump gives us new reasons to believe it's possible every day.
I hope you'll join in this effort before it's too late.
Thank you,
Mary Beth

P.S. The Republican convention is just a few weeks away, and we know their fundraising will spike around that time. We can't afford to have our momentum erased if that happens, so our party is counting on a groundswell of support from this team right now. Will you make a $7 donation to the DNC today to keep Democrats from falling behind at this vital moment in the race? Any amount you can spare would make a big difference.
