The people of South Carolina deserve a senator who will look out for their best interests first and foremost -- and Pat, Lindsey Graham is not that person.
My opponent embodies everything that's wrong with this broken Republican Party, not to mention everything that's on display right now at this week's RNC. Back in 2015, Lindsey Graham thought Donald Trump was unfit for office. He called him a bigot, xenophobic, and unprepared. Lindsey Graham didn't even vote for Trump in the general election. Now, the senator is one of Trump's biggest supporters. It could not be more clear that his loyalties are driven by his political ambition -- and not by the priorities of South Carolinians.
Pat, we need to send Lindsey Graham, Mitch McConnell, and Donald Trump's Republican cronies home this November. If I've learned anything from watching this week's Republican National Convention, it is that the GOP takes no issue with using hatred and division to further their agenda, one that favors the wealthiest among us and leaves working folks behind. South Carolina and this nation deserve better, which is why I'm coming to you today.
Please, split a $10 donation between my campaign and the DNC before the Republican National Convention is over. We can't afford another four years of Donald Trump or a GOP-controlled Senate if there's any hope of achieving the progress our country so desperately needs.
Lindsey Graham represents all that is wrong with Washington and all that is wrong with the GOP. People all across America are paying for his failures.
Our nation is in the midst of a three-pronged crisis, and instead of addressing the problems at hand, Republicans are using their convention to tear our nation apart and ignore the challenges threatening our everyday life. We cannot stand for this, Pat, which is why every single person on this grassroots team needs to commit to supporting Democrats up and down the ballot.
I'm running to be the next Senator from South Carolina because I believe moral leadership at its core starts with a commitment to equity and justice. Split a $10 donation between my campaign and the DNC so that we can elect Democrats nationwide this November.
Thank you for your support,
Jaime
Jaime Harrison
U.S. Senate candidate, South Carolina
P.S. Last week at our convention, Democrats proudly showed that real leadership requires kindness, courage, and strength. Lindsey Graham eschewed all of these qualities when he decided to fall in line with Trump. Before the end of the Republican National Convention, split a $10 donation between my campaign and the DNC.
