For me, North Carolina has always been home, and I know that the people of my state value honesty, hard work, loyalty, and decency. The Republican National Convention, which opened in North Carolina earlier this week, has run counter to those values -- and I know we can do better for my state and for our country.
That's why I'm running for Senate to flip this seat -- and why I'm calling on you ahead of the DNC's Monday deadline, Pat.
While my Republican opponent aligns himself with some of the division and anger of this week's RNC, I'm confident we can set North Carolina -- and all of America -- on a better path. But without the right resources and the technology, data, and organizing infrastructure a strong party provides, Democrats in tight races like mine could fall short. We can't afford to let that happen, especially not during our party's first FEC deadline with a full ticket, Pat.
Will you split a $10 donation between my campaign for Senate in North Carolina and the Democratic Party? Together, we can ensure that candidates in tough races like mine have the resources we need to win.
I've lived in North Carolina my whole life. Growing up in the small town of Lexington, I learned what it means to work hard, and that justice often requires a fight. My father, a lawyer in our small town, showed me the value of helping those in my community, so I went on to fight for working families as a state senator. After the attacks on September 11, 2001, I took up that same fight for our country by signing up for the Army Reserve, and then served three active duty tours, including overseas in Iraq and Afghanistan.
My opponent and Washington Republicans celebrated this week in North Carolina during the Republican National Convention as working families across the state struggle to make ends meet. I'm running to make sure they know that we deserve better. North Carolinians know the values of hard work and fighting hard, and our senators, including my opponent, are failing to meet the moment.
Just like I fought for my community and my country, I'm fighting for working families and the return of decency to the Senate. But, I need you to fight with me, Pat. It's going to be a tough fight, and I need all the help I can get ahead of this deadline.
Will you chip in $10 to my campaign and the DNC ahead of their Monday deadline to support Democratic candidates like me up and down the ballot? I need your help to overcome a well-funded GOP campaign and turn this seat blue in November.
Thanks for your support, it means a lot.

U.S. Senate candidate, North Carolina
P.S. My opponent, Mitch McConnell, and Donald Trump's GOP have perpetuated gridlock and partisanship in Washington. Together, we can end it. Please split a $10 donation between my campaign and the DNC before their deadline if you're ready to help me flip this seat and help Democrats win seats across the country this November.
