Donald Trump just walked off the stage in New Hampshire, his first campaign rally after the Republican National Convention. This was his third campaign rally in New Hampshire this cycle -- more than Pennsylvania, more than Wisconsin, and more than Michigan. Why? Because he knows Democrats have almost no chance of taking back the Senate majority if we lose in New Hampshire, so he's laser-focused on flipping this Senate seat red.
But time is running out before the critical end-of-month fundraising deadline so I hope you'll let me explain why this race is so important and then split a $10 donation between my Senate campaign and the DNC to protect New Hampshire's Senate seat, take back the Senate, and elect Democrats across the country.
If Democrats want to win back the Senate majority this November, it's critical to win in New Hampshire -- and Donald Trump knows this. That's why he flew all the way to my home state for his first MAGA rally after officially accepting the Republican nomination -- and in the middle of the worst public health crisis we've faced in over a century, no less. He spewed the same lies that we heard earlier this week, refusing to take responsibility for any of the challenges we're facing. Because that's the kind of leader he is -- one who is eager to pass the blame and is only interested in serving himself.
Pat, the DNC and my campaign are facing an important end-of-month deadline this Monday, and it is crucial that we hit our fundraising goals. We are in the final stages of this race, and with such little time left to organize and spread our message, it is essential that Democrats running for office nationwide have the full support of this grassroots team.
Before Trump leaves New Hampshire, will you split a $10 donation between my campaign and the DNC before their end-of-month deadline on Monday so that we are well-equipped to take on Donald Trump and the GOP in the next two months? I mean it when I say that we can take back the White House, flip the Senate, and expand our House majority if Democrats like you donate today.
I've spent my entire career fighting for the people of New Hampshire. First in the New Hampshire state Senate, then as governor, and now as U.S. Senator, I've worked to expand access to affordable health care, education, and good-paying jobs. Donald Trump and his Republican allies have done just the opposite.
We have an opportunity this November to rid Mitch McConnell of his majority in the Senate and finally pass the bold, progressive legislation that's been sitting on his desk for years. But with virtually no time left before people begin voting, we're running out of time to make inroads and to hold on to this critical seat. The time to act is now.
Pat, will you split a $10 donation between my Senate campaign and the DNC before our August FEC deadline to help flip the Senate and elect Democrats across the country? Holding this seat is critical to turning the Senate blue, and I'm counting on your support to help elect Democrats in the Granite State and nationwide.
Thank you,
Jeanne
Jeanne Shaheen
U.S. Senator
P.S. Donald Trump just stepped off stage moments ago. Show him that you will not tolerate his reckless leadership any longer and split a $10 donation between my campaign and the DNC before our August end-of-month deadline to help flip the Senate and elect Democrats across the country.
