There was lots to love about the Democratic National Convention last week -- but there's one moment, in particular, that I can't stop thinking about: All of these 2020 primary candidates uniting behind the Biden-Harris ticket.
Over a year ago, Barack Obama launched the Democratic Unity Fund as a promise: No matter who became our party's nominee for president, Democrats everywhere would rally behind them in service of our shared values. This image shows that fulfilling that promise is within reach, and Pat -- that fills me with hope.
But here's the truth: We can only make good on the promise of the Democratic Unity Fund if we come together to equip Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and Democrats down the ticket with the technology, data, and organizing infrastructure they need to win. That's why I'm coming to you today with a request:
Can you donate your first $7 to the Democratic Unity Fund? As a special thank you for supporting the fund's mission at this key moment in the race, we'll mail you a free Unity is Power sticker to display proudly.
Last night at their convention, Republicans doubled down on Trump's hateful and divisive rhetoric. They made it clear they have no intention of bringing the country together and every intention of continuing the chaos that's defined the past three-and-a-half years.
You have the power to show everyone that Democrats can rise above that, Pat. With a fully-supported Democratic Unity Fund, we can ensure we have the staff, technology, and data to reach every voter where they are in these final months of this historic election -- but that's only possible when folks like you chip in what they can, when they can, little by little, until our power becomes undeniable.
Donate $7 to the Democratic Unity Fund today. We'll mail you a free Unity is Power sticker to help you spread the word that Democrats are committed to uniting to defeat Trump, elect Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, and ensure Democrats win from the school board to the Senate.
In unity,
Tom

P.S. Party unity isn't a switch you flip; it's a choice each of us makes every day, little by little, until the fight is over. I'm proud of our candidates for choosing party unity at last week's convention, and now, I'm asking you to choose the same by giving your support to the Democratic Unity Fund today. Thank you, Pat.
