I just got off the phone with some of our most generous donors, who agreed to match all our grassroots donations up until Thursday's midnight deadline, because they know falling short is an outcome Democrats cannot afford at this moment. Just take a look for yourself: Missing this critical goal -- the first of the year -- is not an option if we're to have any chance at defeating Donald Trump and sending a Democrat to the Oval Office in 2020. At the end of this week, I'll get on the phone with campaigns and state parties to say whether the Democratic Party is able to support the organizing efforts and voter outreach required to defeat Donald Trump and Republicans across the country in 2020, or if we'll have to make some tough budget cuts. Which call I make is entirely dependent on the amount of support our party receives from grassroots supporters like you before Thursday's deadline.
