 I've worked in politics since the early '80s, Pat, and never have I witnessed more unchecked chaos in our government than I have under Donald Trump and his Republican enablers. Don't get me wrong -- Trump has been a complete disaster for our country. But what has made his tenure all the more damaging is the fact that he's got so many GOP allies in Congress and in state legislatures nationwide. We made major gains by winning back the House in 2018, but our work is far from over. The only way you and I can finally stop Republicans' reckless agenda is by working tirelessly to elect Democrats up and down the ticket, in every state, city, and ZIP code. The DNC is the only party organization committed to fighting for Democrats at every level and in every corner of our country, and that work simply can't happen without the support of grassroots supporters like you. Before Thursday's critical fundraising deadline, I have to ask: Can you donate $3 before Thursday at midnight to support Democrats in all 50 states? Your support today will determine how prepared the DNC is to defeat Trump and Republicans in 2019, 2020, and beyond. When I chaired the DNC, our party introduced what was, back then, a revolutionary idea: The 50-state strategy. By recruiting Democratic candidates to run for office in every state regardless how "red," and then funding state parties to support those candidates, the Democratic Party completely changed how we approached winning elections and building the long-term strength of our party. The 50-state strategy worked wonders for our party, Pat, and today it's more important than ever that we reinvest in this winning model. Creating lasting progress can't happen unless we commit to electing Democrats at every level from the school board to the Oval Office, and I hope you'll join me in supporting the DNC's work doing exactly that.
