Sign this petition before it's too late

Now, more than ever, we need a strong USPS.
DemocratsJoin us.

We didn't see your name on our list of petition signers to save the USPS, Pat. The United States Postal Service impacts all of us, including people in Carrollton and across the country -- but thanks to Trump, it's currently under attack.

Donald Trump and his recently appointed postmaster general are tearing apart the USPS from the inside out. Decreasing overtime hours and allowing delays in deliveries is unacceptable for such a vital public service.

Defending the USPS is an urgent matter, so we hope you'll add your name to demand the support of the USPS today.

Add your name now to defend the USPS before it's too late.

Thank you for standing with our party and USPS employees everywhere.

Subject: Defending the USPS in Carrollton

Pat --

The USPS, one of the most vital public services in our country -- and a service that impacts us all, even in Carrollton -- is under attack by the Trump administration and being left to the wayside by Republicans. This pandemic has only heightened the need of the United States Postal Service, so I'm urging you to show your support for the USPS in Carrollton and nationwide today.

Trump's recently appointed US postmaster general has no interest in strengthening the USPS. Instead, he's slashing postal workers' overtime hours and just sent out a memo detailing future delivery delays. The USPS supports so many different facets of our communities. These attempts to "cut costs" will no doubt hurt small businesses, rural communities, and more, in Texas and across the country, Pat.

Now more than ever, we need a strong USPS. Add your name to demand the USPS remain properly supported.

The USPS is personal, Pat. Hundreds of thousands of hardworking postal workers are on the front lines risking their health each day making sure folks like you in Carrollton and across the country get the resources they need. These essential workers are valued members of our community, and don't deserve to have their livelihoods put at risk -- especially during this crisis when the unemployment rate is already staggeringly high.

Efforts to undermine the USPS also put our rural, poor, and Native communities at risk. Because the USPS delivers all mail at a flat rate regardless of distance, recent Republican attacks on the USPS means folks in these communities would see delays in receiving their medication, their bills, and more. This is simply unacceptable, and we must demand change.

Carrollton and the rest of our country simply cannot afford to lose one of the oldest public services we have. If you believe in protecting the jobs of thousands of workers, defending a safe and secure election, and keeping our communities connected, then add your name to defend the USPS today.

Pat, sign this petition now to demand the protection of the USPS and its essential employees and services.

In unity,

Tom
