I'm running to represent Idaho in the U.S. Senate because I'm challenging politicians in Washington to think differently about our government -- and I know I'm the right woman for the job because I'm running to prioritize working people over politics.
As a proud member of the Coeur d'Alene Tribe, fighting for the needs of my community and protecting the earth's priceless natural resources is how I was raised. My unwavering connection to Idaho's land and the people who share it is what drives me to stand up for working families who've been left in the dust by those who call the shots in Washington. It is time for the stranglehold that the GOP has over our government to come to an end -- but I'm not naive enough to believe I can win this tough race alone. It will take an entire movement to flip this Senate seat, Pat, and I am asking you to be a part of the fight.
That's why I'm coming to you: Will you split a $10 donation between my campaign for Senate and the DNC? Together, we can flip the Senate from red to blue, and your contribution today will help elect me and thousands of other Democrats running to return power to working people.
Here's the problem with my Republican opponent and his GOP allies: They don't actually care about the people they claim to represent. When was the last time Mitch McConnell and his friends in the Senate worked to help you? Do they work to make sure we have quality health care, or that our children will have a clean world to live in?
Washington is broken. Until we have a complete shift to policymaking that puts people first, we will get nowhere. I'm running for Senate because I have a proven track record of working across the aisle to achieve solutions in difficult, tense, and hyper-political situations. You can count on me to make this shift to people-first policymaking and guide our government back to representing all of us, the American people. But I can't get there without the tremendous amount of resources it'll take to win this race.
With just under four months left to build the campaign it'll take to unseat my Republican opponent, I am coming to you for support. Any amount you can spare today will make an important difference in competitive races like mine, so I need to ask you one more time:
Will you please split a $10 donation between my campaign for Senate and the DNC? Even if you can only afford to chip in a few dollars today, having you on my team would be a huge boost for my campaign and for Democrats running all across our country.
Thank you for joining this fight,
Paulette
Paulette Jordan
U.S. Senate candidate, Idaho
P.S. My opponent James Risch, a 10-year Republican incumbent, has literally fallen asleep on the job -- and that's no surprise given his long track record of putting the needs of himself first and working Idahoans last. I can tell you this, Pat: I have what it takes to get the job done for our people and our values. If you can, split a $10 donation between my campaign and the DNC to help me, and Democrats running at every level, win our tough election fights.
