This is extraordinary, Pat. In my 40 years in politics, I've never seen anything like the integration between Joe Biden's presidential campaign and the DNC. When I chaired the DNC during the 2008 election, the committee served as a fundraising arm for the campaign and Democrats down the ticket, but little more. That couldn't be further from the truth this time around. The Biden campaign and the DNC are fully integrated. They're working together as one team to reach voters and hit Trump where it hurts, and Joe Biden and down-ballot Democrats are competing in states and districts that not long ago were considered unwinnable. This is great progress, but it requires a lot of extra resources. To truly compete everywhere, we need more money, and with this election's increased emphasis on vote-by-mail and digital organizing, we need it earlier than ever before. That can only happen with your support, Pat -- especially ahead of this Friday's FEC deadline. This is the most high-stakes deadline our party has had since the general election began, and whether our party can hit our July fundraising goal will play a huge role in determining our budget for the rest of this race.
