Things aren't the way they ought to be right now, Pat. I know it and you know it too. Parents don't think their kids will have the same opportunities they once had. Working people are being crushed by this economy. It's simply not right.
I'm running for president to restore the backbone of this country -- the American middle class. The folks who bust their necks to get by. It's the president's job not only to respect, but to invest in the futures of those folks -- whether that's by protecting health care, making college more affordable, combating climate change, or so much more.
Bottom line is: This next month is going to be critical for my campaign and the DNC to lay the groundwork for victory in November -- whether that means hiring more organizers in battleground states or beefing up our data and tech to reach more voters. I have all the faith in the world that we can do that together, Pat. That's why I've gotta ask:
Will you split a $10 donation between my campaign and the DNC's One-Term President Fund today, while it's early enough in this race to have the strongest impact?
America's place in the world has been damaged significantly by this administration. I'm not naive to that. Our next president is going to inherit a world in disarray. And it's going to be their job to be a part of the solution -- not the problem.
It's going to take all of us to restore the soul of our nation. And the first step to doing it is to make sure that Democrats are well-equipped to defeat Donald Trump and his allies in November.
Together, my campaign and the DNC can scale the projects, tools, and technology to reach voters, hire even more organizers to do important work in their communities, and strengthen the DNC's critical voter protection programs to make sure everyone can vote this year. We're coming up on one of the most important elections of our lifetime, so that work demands your support.
If you're able, please split a $10 donation between my campaign and the DNC's One-Term President Fund today. Every buck you're able to give will go a long way come November.
Keep the faith,
Joe
