Pat, if you're anything like me, you're thrilled to see so many incredible Democratic candidates running for president. This is already the most diverse field our party has ever seen, and I couldn't be more excited to hear our candidates share their vision for America when they take the DNC debate stage for the first time this June. We have so many amazing candidates in the race, and I know without a doubt it'll be difficult to choose just one on primary day. The truth is that no matter who becomes our party's nominee for president, he or she will rely on the DNC to provide a strong party infrastructure capable of taking on Donald Trump and the GOP the very moment the general election begins. In order to win the White House and seats nationwide next year, we have to invest now, while it's still early in the race -- waiting until Democrats have chosen our nominee will be too late. Our eventual nominee will inherit our party's organizing, fundraising, and data operations, so in order to be ready to hit the ground running in the general election, I am asking you to make your first contribution to the DNC of 2019 right now. The DNC has already launched some of the most ambitious programs our party has ever undertaken -- and we've started many of these essential research, tech, and organizing programs earlier in a presidential cycle than ever before. Here's just some of what our party is doing to invest in 2020 early, and what your contribution to our party will help power: The War Room, re-launched and dramatically expanded just last week, is a battleground states-focused research and rapid response unit made up of dozens of research, communications, and mobilization staffers entirely dedicated to getting Trump out of the White House. The War Room will be a one-stop shop for state parties, candidates, and activists in battleground states, and will lift up the real stories of the families most devastated by Trump's policies -- the stories that matter most. The Data Warehouse is the centerpiece of the Democratic Party's effort to overhaul our data infrastructure. This will improve access to and analysis of voter data and help unify our efforts across the entire progressive ecosystem, putting our candidates in the best position possible to target voters and win elections at every level of government. Organizing Corps 2020 is the DNC's answer to Trump's 2016 victories in key battleground states like Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania -- states we narrowly lost. This program will recruit, train, and pay homegrown field organizers to mobilize their communities starting this summer. We're thrilled to have already begun the hiring process for our Corps members, so it's urgent that we raise the funds required to power this immensely important program that our eventual 2020 nominee will rely on to build a best-in-class field team.
