As a civil rights lawyer, not much offends my sense of justice more than Republican efforts to suppress the right to vote. That's why two developments over the past week have put me over the edge:
Making it harder for people to vote -- especially communities of color and young people -- is fundamentally anti-democratic. But voter suppression is now undeniably an ongoing part of the Republican playbook. They know that when more people vote, Democrats win -- so they try to win elections based on how few people turn out to vote. We cannot let their strategy succeed -- that's why we are committed to mobilizing millions of voters over the next few weeks, and why we're doing everything we can to fight the GOP's voter suppression efforts. If you agree that every single eligible voter deserves to have their say in this year's elections, I'm asking you to rush an urgent $3 donation to support the DNC's voter protection efforts before Wednesday's final FEC deadline. Thank you, Seema Seema Nanda Chief Executive Officer Democratic National Committee According to our records, it's been 728 days since you made your last contribution. Will you make your first contribution of 2018 before Wednesday's deadline to stand with Democrats during these critical final weeks? |
