Senate Democrats were right to demand a full and thorough investigation of the multiple credible allegations against Brett Kavanaugh. What the White House instructed the FBI to do, however, was not a thorough investigation. Reports say the White House denied the FBI authority to interview key witnesses and corroborators of Kavanaugh's behavior in their investigation -- and Dr. Christine Blasey Ford and Kavanaugh were not even interviewed by the FBI this week. But Senate Republicans, including the "moderate" Susan Collins, don't seem to care -- they are voting to confirm Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court today. There's one way and one way only to stop Trump from appointing more unfit nominees like Kavanaugh: Regaining a Democratic Senate majority in 31 days.
