SCOTUS

Electing more Democrats to the Senate is the best way to prevent Trump from putting more extreme conservatives on the Supreme Court.
Yesterday, Trump announced Brett Kavanaugh as his Supreme Court nominee -- and health care, reproductive rights, voting rights, and workers' rights are all on the line.

Mitch McConnell should follow the precedent he set and wait to hold the vote until a new Congress is sworn in. But in order to protect the future of the Supreme Court, we need to do more than postpone the vote.

Electing Democrats to the Senate is the best way to prevent Trump from putting more extreme conservatives on the Supreme Court. If there's ever been a time to show you're committed to that effort, it's right now. So I'm asking:

Contribute $10 today to help Democrats take back the Senate in November to ensure Trump can't nominate more right-wing extremists to the Supreme Court.

Judge Kavanaugh's nomination means it is now entirely possible that Roe v. Wade will be overturned, and the rights of women will be put under siege. It could also become more difficult for workers to organize, for voters to participate in elections, and for women to access comprehensive health care services -- including abortion and birth control.

There's a lot at stake in this fight. But more than anything else, it is a reminder that elections matter.

Trump will be able to continue filling the Supreme Court with far-right conservatives unless we are prepared to do something about it. No one else will put a stop to it if we don't. So I'm asking you today:

Will you make a $10 contribution to win back the Senate this fall? We can only do it if we work together, starting right now.

Thanks for joining the fight to defend the Supreme Court.

Every best wish,

Chris
