Here are two things you should know now that Trump has nominated Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court: This appointment will affect monumental decisions made for the next half-century. A vote to confirm Brett Kavanaugh is a vote to overturn Roe v. Wade and gut the Affordable Care Act. States will be the last line of defense for everything from health care to voting rights -- and there are more than 6,000 state legislative seats on the ballot this year. Plus this Republican-led Congress has already repeatedly tried to dismantle the Affordable Care Act and surely won't defend health care if the Supreme Court pulls the same stunt.
