The DNC is doing things differently this year -- plain and simple. Our strategy used to revolve around presidential cycles, but I can tell you firsthand that our party is now committed to organizing 365 days a year in all 50 states. We can't win if we don't compete, and we can't compete if we don't organize. You understand the importance of supporting Democrats, Pat -- you last donated $10 in 2016. Thank you. With a critical fundraising deadline coming up tomorrow, can you make your first donation of 2018 before midnight tomorrow? Contribute $10 right now -- ahead of tomorrow's important deadline -- to say you are ready to elect Democrats in all 50 states this year. I want to be perfectly clear: Our wins in places like Virginia, Alabama, and western Pennsylvania the past year have been the result of good old-fashioned grassroots organizing. That kind of work doesn't happen overnight, and it certainly doesn't happen without investment. You may already know that the DNC has launched four programs that will help transform the way our party engages with voters and communities across the country while staying true to our commitment to effective organizing. Before I get into the details, I need to make one thing clear: The only way these programs will work is if tens of millions of Democrats nationwide join together to help them succeed. Every ZIP Code Counts is our party's commitment to organizing and competing everywhere to win elections in 2018, 2019 and beyond. The DNC is investing $10,000 in every state party in the country every month to help with this effort. By working at the local level, we are strengthening our state parties and ensuring they have the resources to win elections. Winning with Partners in 2018 is a program launched by Deputy Chair Keith Ellison knowing that the DNC is one organization that is part of a broader movement committed to electing Democrats. Through a series of town hall meetings across the country, we're pulling together state party leaders, community activists, and organizations new and old. By listening to people on the ground, we are discovering common goals and better mobilizing our communities this year and in the years ahead. The IWillVote campaign is an ambitious plan to reach 50 million voters by November. When more people vote, Democrats win! The four components of this program are: 1) getting our community to commit to vote, 2) ensuring they are registered to vote, 3) providing voter education and protection, and 4) running a get-out-the-vote campaign. The Best Practices Institute is an innovation and training hub to support candidates and state parties. We are investing in creative solutions while focusing on the proven best practices that will help develop a permanent infrastructure to continue our progress in 2019, 2020, and beyond. Right now, Democrats are moving full steam ahead to win back seats in the House -- but that will only happen if we help our candidates across the country mobilize voters, starting today. You've contributed to support the Democratic Party in the past. Can I count on you to renew your commitment to electing Democrats before tomorrow's deadline? Donate $10 before tomorrow's deadline and together we'll build the organizing infrastructure to win in November. Thanks for your support, Amanda Amanda Brown Lierman Political and Organizing Director Democratic National Committee P.S. I have no doubt that Democrats can win anywhere. All we need to do is organize. If you're ready to elect Democrats up and down the ballot, make your first $10 contribution of 2018 before tomorrow's deadline. |
