When I waddled into the Democratic National Committee at seven months pregnant, I didn't quite know what I was getting myself into. I just knew that I wanted to take a job that would create a better world and a better future for my daughter, Belle. I'm the Political and Organizing Director at the DNC, but most importantly, I am Belle's mom. My job is not only about winning elections -- it's about working around the clock to ensure I have a healthy little girl at home. For Mother's Day, our team put together a special video about Belle -- and my experience being a mom at the DNC. I hope you'll take two minutes to watch it.  Since I joined the DNC, we've had the chance to celebrate historic victories in some of the reddest states -- electing Democrats who can fight for families like mine and yours for years to come. My daughter Belle has been an important part of that journey. She attended the Women's March and the March for Our Lives, she was by our side when Doug Jones won in Alabama, and as she grows up, I want her to know her power and her role in this country. I hope she'll be part of a generation that speaks up for what they believe in and continues the fight for women's rights. We need paid family leave, better child care policies, and equal pay for equal work. But none of that will happen unless we elect more Democrats across the country this year.
