If you're worried sick about the future of our democracy, I don't blame you, Pat. I'm as upset as anyone about what Trump and his party are doing to our country. Whether it's the attacks on health care, the giveaways to Wall Street, the appalling treatment of immigrants, or the general corruption of this president and his party, it can be hard to keep up -- and it can be hard to not want to give up. But I'd like to make one thing perfectly, completely clear: This November, we have the power to change course in this country. Regaining a Democratic majority in Congress is hands down the best way to hold this administration accountable and fight back. But that will require millions of people like you and me doing everything we can to win -- so if you're ready to elect Democrats nationwide, then I need to know you're in before Thursday's important fundraising deadline. Each contribution made before the deadline will support our candidates running in competitive races across the country. We can't let ourselves get distracted, Pat -- we live in a 24-hour news cycle where our attention is always getting pulled in one direction or another. If we are going to restore a sense of integrity to our nation's politics, it will require a strong Democratic Party to make it happen.
