I was governor during the auto industry crisis

I remember how Michiganders felt during the auto industry crisis when I was governor. It was not easy.
I remember how Michiganders felt during the auto industry crisis. It was not easy, Pat.

As governor, I talked with hardworking families in factory towns. They'd been loyal to those companies for generations and those families all had one thing in common: They felt left behind.

It's similar to how folks feel now -- the American people want a government that works for them. They want jobs that pay a living wage. But instead, this president and Republicans in Congress are pretending middle-class Americans' problems can be solved by building a wall (all while greasing the tracks for the rich).

It's time to elect Democrats who will present real solutions to the problems facing the American people. Tomorrow at midnight is a critical fundraising deadline -- and your support will help build the national organizing effort it will take to win in November.

Will you make your first $3 donation of 2018 before tomorrow's deadline to help elect Democrats nationwide?

Even though our country spans an entire continent, we are all connected to each other no matter the city or town we call home. So when Flint's water is poisoning children and families, it hurts all of us. Or when an autoworker in Detroit learns how to build an electric vehicle, we all win.

If Democrats take back Congress in November, we can work together to solve problems Americans are facing in Texas and across the country. That's why this deadline is so critical.

Chip in $3 to help elect Democrats in all 50 states who can move our country forward.

It takes a village -- thank you for being a part of it.
