Texas → Protect voters in your state

The only way we're going to win in November is if we keep fighting voter suppression in states like yours.
DemocratsJoin us.
We know Texans aren't strangers to gerrymandering, Pat. In fact, if there was a level playing field, I guarantee you would have more than 11 Democrats in your congressional delegation.

Republicans have used their power in your state legislature to block people's access to the ballot box and draw congressional districts that deliberately disenfranchise Democratic voters -- not only in Texas but in states across the country.

These gerrymandered maps make it much harder for Democrats to win elections. And the fewer elections Democrats win, the harder it is to get new, fairer maps drawn. It's a vicious cycle of voter suppression.

If Democrats aren't able to take back state legislatures this year and in the years ahead, it will also undermine our ability to win and maintain a Democratic majority in the House. Republicans in states like Texas will continue drawing rigged congressional maps unless we come together to put an end to it.

We have to make sure that every voter is afforded their constitutional right to participate in our elections. Our democracy works best when more people are involved, which is why it's so important that all Americans have the opportunity to vote and make their voices heard.

That's why the Democratic Party is strategically identifying state legislative seats that we can win back to flip chambers and draw fairer maps across the nation. Our legal team is also working to fight unjust voter suppression laws in states like Texas and running a hotline 24/7 to answer voters' questions and concerns.

Our elected officials should reflect the makeup of our states -- not gerrymandered maps designed to push forward a far-right agenda.

Every American should be able to participate in our democracy, no matter where they live.

Thanks for your support,

Georgina
