Pat -- To all those who organized in your communities, who attended town hall meetings, who made calls or signed petitions, who came to Washington to make your voice heard -- thank you. There's no doubt in my mind that your tireless advocacy is what saved the Affordable Care Act. You made this possible, Pat. We'll have more fights ahead of us. Republicans will almost certainly make another attempt at repeal. They'll keep trying to undo President Obama's legacy and pass their agenda that benefits the wealthy at the expense of working people. We will need to keep organizing, and we will need to keep standing with the Democrats in Congress who are fighting for the values we hold most dear. But for now, we can take comfort in having protected health care for millions of Americans -- and take pride in the power of this movement. Thank you again, from the bottom of my heart, for being part of this fight. I know we'll always be able to count on you.
