I called Attorney General Barr a liar -- and I stand by my words.

We can stop the Trump administration's rampant disregard for the rule of law by electing Democrats.

Earlier this month during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, I accused Attorney General Barr of lying to Congress -- and I stand by my words. Not only did Barr make false statements to members of both the House and Senate, he has spent the last two months acting like the president's personal defense attorney rather than the nation's top law enforcement official. It's clear that Barr is fully immersed in Trump's moral dead zone and will do almost anything to protect the president, even if it means subverting the rule of law. Pat, our country cannot withstand another four years of this amoral president and his administration of sycophants. The best way we can fight back now is by making the necessary investments to elect Democrats up and down the ballot. So, whoever wins our party's nomination is going to rely heavily on the DNC to provide the data, organizing, and voter protection infrastructure necessary to win in 2020.
