Pat, I need your help to stop the GOP's voter suppression efforts

Just because Election Day has passed doesn't mean that our work is anywhere close to done.

Pat --

Just because Election Day has passed doesn't mean that our work is anywhere close to done.

Tomorrow voters in Georgia will elect a new secretary of state and public service commissioner, and the outcome of those races could have a huge impact on voting rights for years to come.

To understand what a significant impact a secretary of state can have on elections, look no further than Brian Kemp, Georgia's former secretary of state. He disenfranchised hundreds of thousands of voters while simultaneously running as the Republican candidate for governor against Stacey Abrams. From an inadequate supply of voting machines and poorly trained poll workers, to blocking thousands of voter registrations, Brian Kemp created unnecessary and unfair hurdles to the voting process -- particularly for communities of color.

We cannot tolerate deliberate voter suppression efforts like these -- and we have to do everything we can to help Democrats win state and local races all across the country to help protect and expand the right to vote.

Will you donate $3 before Georgia's secretary of state contest tomorrow to help with the DNC's nationwide voter protection efforts?

This year, the DNC has made unprecedented investments to ensure that every eligible voter can participate in our elections -- work that is critically important ahead of Georgia's runoff election tomorrow.

Here are some of the ways our party has ramped up our efforts to fight the GOP's attempts to suppress voters:
  • Launched a full-time voter protection hotline for voters to report issues and receive assistance casting a ballot.
  • Directly invested in state parties to help elect more Democratic secretaries of state and attorneys general to help oversee fair elections year after year.
  • Hired voter protection staff, lawyers, and poll watchers to build permanent voter protection infrastructure in states like Georgia.
Early voting for the runoff in Georgia is underway -- and the DNC has staff on the ground who have been working tirelessly to protect the right to vote and organize voters to make sure they know how, when, and where to vote in the runoff.

With so much to do to ensure fair and free elections across the country in the years to come, we must continue investing in our voter protection efforts -- and that's only possible with your help, Pat.

Donate $3 before Georgia's secretary of state race tomorrow to support the DNC's nationwide voter protection and organizing efforts.

Thanks for your support,

Tom
