How Onward Together has powered Arena's work

Pat --

One month after the 2016 election, Arena held our very first summit to convene young progressives who needed a space to mourn, organize, and train for the next cycle. 450 people attended -- and by the end, more than 150 of them had signed up to run for office.

And then Onward Together reached out. They wanted to work together -- to offer us grants, partnership, and amplification so that Arena could reach even more smart, fired-up young people. It worked: Thanks to the support of Onward Together, we’ve been able to train a collective 2,000 people at our summits who have gone on to launch hundreds of new organizations and run for dozens of offices across the country. We’ve also been able to hire more staffers and make Arena a real, powerful force for change.

I’m grateful that you’re a part of Onward Together, and in turn, a part of Arena -- we couldn’t do this without you. If you can, make a donation before midnight tonight to help Onward Together find and support even more organizations in 2019:

A note from Hillary:

Arena launched in 2016 as a way to bring people together at a time that left many feeling isolated. Two years later, they’ve have trained more than 2,000 new activists and launched programs to do everything from turning Arizona blue to training progressives for work on campaigns. In the 2018 midterm elections, Arena supported 54 candidates; all but two won their primary and more than half won in November.

As Arena embarks on the 2019 and 2020 cycles with plans to work bigger and smarter, I couldn’t be more proud to continue to support their team. Their commitment to old-fashioned, face-to-face organizing is something we should all draw inspiration from. I know I do.

Onward!

Hillary
